Job Description

As an automation engineer, your role will be to work within the hardware team on the Scortex Junction Box. The Scortex junction box is a Scortex product that embeds a PLC and all the necessary equipment to trigger cameras and lights in sequence and to allow integration of the computing platform on the production lines. you will be working closely with a talented cross functional team including Mechanical, Vision, Software, Machine Learning, Product and Sales. The basic responsibilities of the role are:

  • Develop and maintain automation programs
  • Standardize automation program across customers system
  • electrical schema reading and editing capability
  • Edit integrator specifications (automation side)
  • Discuss automation topic with customer and integrators
  • Answer to customer specification compliance matrix
  • Help selecting the convenient components

Preferred Experience

Key Skills
Strong organization and communication capabilities

Proven experience with Schneider Electric and Siemens PLC programing
Structured text programing language
Business level English and French are a must have (Spanish, Polish, German and other languages are nice to have as well)
Electrical schemas read and edit capability

Work Experience
Minimum 5 years experience in delivering reliable and robust automation systems
Knowledge and experience with industrial standards and processes for manufacturing
Engineering background in Mechanical, Vision or Information technology is a nice to have

Recruitment Process

After the application, you will be contacted for an intro call to validate that your objectives and the Scortex objectives are synchronised. In case of accordance, an interview, in person or via teleconference will be done. In case of success, a last meeting with our CEO will be set.

Starting with a one year CDD convertible into a CDI at the end of the CDD period.
